We've included this handy guide to getting the latest version of the Picasso96 graphics card software from the Picasso Mailing List. It was written by one half of the team that writes Picasso96 - Tobias Abt.
Where can I download the latest P96 software? I am running the original version that came with my card. 1.2 or something That should be 1.20 if it is a Picasso96 version (if it is the version of the PicassoIV install disk, it does not tell me much, I don't maintain this). Go to the Picasso96 WWW home page: http://picasso96.cogito.de/

There you find:

  1. the "beta Archives" page: download 1.43b from there
  2. the History: look and read (!) what has changed since your release ("version rtg.library full" should give you a rough estimation of the date your old version was created, if there is no file called "Picasso96:version" available on your system, otherwise do a "version Picasso96:Version full")
  3. the FAQ page: read this, too. It contains some vital information. Especially the stuff I do not want to explain for the 1000th time. :-)
  4. Configuration: some information to all the configuration switches you can use to customize and tweak your Picasso96 environment.
Try to read all of it. Really. I have put lots of time into those pages and hope they help users. Otherwise complain and say what's missing, misleading, inappropriate or even plain wrong. :-))
